Add New Parts Quickly¶

A, D, I, N, and O Add New Parts¶

To quickly add new parts from the keyboard use A, D, I, N, and O. The additional parts that will be made by pressing A, I, and O, will be essentially very similar to the actions performed in the well know UNIX program called Vi. Actually, most of the keyboard actions that you are reading about are almost identical to that principle with respect of H, J, K, L, A, I, and O.
To enter a brand new part at screen centre, use SHIFT + N. To duplicate the current part in place, use SHIFT + D.
A I and O¶

These keys will make new parts with reference to the currently focused part. Certain dimensions of the current part will be used to determine the size of the new part. The other dimension will be taken as the active keyboard grid increment.
D and G are Different¶
While in G mode, we will add new parts but, their initial sizing will be determine by the currently active keyboard grid increment.
G Action Illustrated¶

D Action Illustrated¶

In general A will set a new part to the right, I will set a new part to the left. SHIFT + A will set a new part against screen right, and SHIFT + I will set a new part against screen left. O will set a new part below, while SHIFT + O will set a new part above. When we are using D mode, the parts will be complete duplicates of the current part, and we will carry the parent duplicate through the process. That is to say that it will remain focused.
